I made an eventbrite clone (ish) to avoid fees

The project started with the nature of student events where we try to avoid as much fee as possible to make sure all the money paid for the tickets can go toward the event. When I was a part of $Asian ball$ organiser in 22/23, we tried to avoid the fee by using revolut transfer (for non-Irish readers, revolut is a bank app like UK’s monzo / US’ venmo) to take payments instead of things like eventbrite / fixr (5-16% fee) which makes the treasurer of the event ended up having to go through the payments one by one, verify them, make a ticket and email the ticket.

Splitwise clone

This project was inspired from the two websites I always use splitwise and when2meet. It came up as an idea in the summer when my brother and I were traveling Europe. He convinced me to use splitwise to do the finance for the trip (I usually use google sheets / excel).
